Song of the Day ('00 Edition): Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Through This

One Hit Wonder of the Millenium? Well, Daniel Bedingfield had another hit with "If You're Not the One," but honestly when I think of Daniel Bedingfield I think of this song. Of course right now all i think of with Bedingfield is his sister Natasha who had more hits. Believe me, I'm not thinking there is a musical career rivalry between the two, but for now there is a bit of an overshadowing. I wonder if Donny and Marie had something similar.

Song of the Day (90s Edition): Daft Punk - Around the World

My Song of the Day now ties in with my latest acquistion!

I have been a fan of Daft Punk since I heard this song back when I couldn't go to the bars... I time when I had to go to the under 21 club since I was not savvy enough to get a fake ID. I remember entering the club and this was just blasting, beat was good the atmosphere was nice, ( a little smoky - but I was a smoker then.)

How can a fan go without buying CDs of the band? Well I got one "Human After All," but I never got the previous ones. Well I found and decided to purchase a best of... CD that fits just fine. It has all the songs I want and others I can peruse. The preview function of Itunes has been helping my buying decisions. I hate to think first impressions make the difference, but I admit if I set my heart to an album without listening to content, I do have a tendency to be disappointed.

Song of the Day: Sade - Soldier of Love

I admit I haven't heard of Sade since way back when, when "No Ordinary Love" came around. Sade is definitely a mood musician for me and I have to be in a certain mind set in order for me to listen. I'm thinking a rainy night curling up with a book and nice glass of wine. Unfortunately, these events never occur that often. However, I have noticed a rise in her popularity again so here I am taking note and letting others know :-)
