My Birthday

April 9th, 1978: I was born. *thunder rumbles* I hate when that happens.

So yeah, that makes me 32 years old. I don't know how I feel about that. I feel like I'm still a youngster, though certain parts of my body are telling me I can't do what I did when I was 21. I'm in the path to being a responsible adult. I have a nice job, I own my home. No kids, but still, responsibilities. The last time I got completely plastered was so many years ago that I can no longer recall. I now think of that as an immature thing. Funny thing is, I wouldn't mind doing that again one of these days. I'll have a few drinks but nothing that will get me wasted.

So for my 32nd Birthday, I went on an awesome excursion in Seattle. Which involved a lot of walking, drinking and eating, in various combination of those activities. The original plan was to go to Anthony's on the waterfront, but I soon learned that that was not really going to happen.

First place was the SFM/EMP Science Fiction Museum/ Experience Music Project, where the sci-fi geek and the music geek combines into the uber-geek that is me!

Here are the pics that I managed to take before my iPhone died on me, damn battery.

After that we went to Pacific Place Shopping Center which had the Gordon Biersch Restaurant. I love their Hefeweizen. I noticed a fruit tasted that I really loved to it and was told it was banana. I'm in no way a beer aficionado but I do love beers that are more sweet then bitter. And to complement the bad for me beer we had some garlic fries and chips that had bacon and bleu cheese toppings.

I so needed to walk those beer and appetizers off, so when I was told we were gonna walk around for a while before Anthony's I was okay. I did find it strange that we were walking the opposite direction and it was getting a little late. But these kinda things happen so I argued but went along because if they wanted to walk this far by all means I'll be the one to say I told you so in the end.

So we walked along and was pretty much in the direction of Pike Place market, when we ended up walking through the doors of this restaurant.

Yeah Anthony's wasn't happening at all. Loved the place... prices were high for the food and the drinks were okay, but just listening to all the background music (with all the artists I love) and just the general surprise, I loved it.

On a side note: one of the music videos on the monitors all around the restaurant was my first tape: Information Society - Pure Energy.
